Cleaning out the Closet - Literally

Happy New Year to all my wonderful readers and followers on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and my website. Now that’s over, let’s get down to some specifics. We all love to make New Year Resolutions. How many times have we said? Yep, I’m going to…blah, blah, blah and we don’t. Yes, I’m one of those people. Bet you thought I was a dedicated writer, but I’m not. But I try to be. So here are a few of mine to get you started on yours. Resolution one. – Write more, Resolution Two – as per the above. Believe it or not, I start out the Year usually about two weeks into January with all sorts of good intentions. Didn’t someone say that? But, this is important. Whether we go ahead with plans to walk more, - at least once a week. Cut down on the chocolate. No, sorry can’t do that. Walk the dog. – Well, I walk my cat. Silly, I’m not sure. Not one of my neighbours can express with hand on heart they have seen me walk said cat. He’s a Bengal by the way, for those who follow my Facebook and Instagram page. His name is Leonardo, or just ‘Leo’ when he's annoying. What else. Ah, yes – Clean out that closet. Get rid of all those clothes, either too big – not going to happen here, or too small. Donate them to the local church group or the Salvos – love those stores they work hard for the community and all the shoes I don’t wear. Yes, there are many of those. My marketing manager, ANA my eldest son, calls me a hoarder. Okay, I’ll go with that. I tell him it’s hereditary on my mother’s side. He gets rid of everything he doesn’t need or use. I’ll be next if I sit still long enough. So, there you have it. I should write a short ‘how to book.’ Confessions of a writer. Maybe. So Good luck with the new year, I’m sure 2018 will be great for all of you, and if not, there is always 2019,2020. See, I am getting ahead of myself again.

Image - I thought this was cute. A word I have never used in my writing. Perhaps....
